A gourmet disclosure taking on the appearance of an unassuming takeaway, elusive Pizzarium serves some of Rome's best pizza. Served on a wooden slashing board, its soft dough and impeccable crust are finished with unique flavours , there’s additionally an every day speciality of supplì (crunchy rice croquettes), squeezes and chilled lagers.

Run by Roman master-chef Massimo Riccioli, La Rosetta is the capital's pioneer and best-known fish restaurant. The menu, which is idel for veggie lovers or meat-eaters, includes a choice of crude and excellent fish dishes, a  less expensive lunch menu is served Monday to Saturday.

Discover this neighborhood osteria for grabbing the best cicheti (bar snacks). Loaded with ingredients from the Rialto bazaar, father-child duo Francesco and Matteo serve little gems, for example, white asparagus with pancetta, and butterfish crudo which is marinated in mint and olive oil.

The menu is a rejuvenation of classics, distinctive for lunch and supper:  cabbage soup with mozzarella cream and anchovy syrup, acacia nectar mousse with dessert wine marinated cashews and almonds.

The costs at this restaurant are close to the late-Renaissance asylum of the Madonna di Pietracupa, they are sensible considering the nature of the cutting edge Tuscan cookings on offer. You can appreciate a long lunch on the open air porch, or book one of the four B&B rooms  and settle in for a fascinating supper in the rich lounge area.
