Desperate expanses of prairies, powerdom of sculpted mountains, striking lakes and drooling lush woods with plenty of ground to play, a land dissected by a river, pampered by fertile soil, and decorated with pine-covered mountains, this region of South Dakota radiates its own grace around the world.
