With 5000km long enigmatic extends of sand, 450km of sublime barrier reef and around 250 other-worldly islands, no stay in Madagascar would be complete without a few days on the island's shores. Divers will relish astounding variety of choices, from submerged places of worship to wrecks, and will cherish the chance to see beams, whale sharks, and reef sharks. Snorkelers will be dazed by the sheer polish of turtles and ponder about the rainbow of shades demonstrated by corals and fish. For those with no motivation to get acquainted with the submerged world, the untainted shorelines will turn out to be sheer delight. You can likewise join a close-by fisher for a pirogue outing, go cruising to explore nearer islands or take a whale-seeing voyage to get mesmerized by humpbacks cracking – one of nature's most elevated scene.

The small yet soothingly buzzing Vezo fishing towns of Anakao are endowed with a charming semi-circle of white-sand shoreline, essence of turquoise water and a spread of plush vegetation. An array of guesthouses on either side of the towns are perfect for resting after an exhausted excursion, diving a little  or admiring the numerous amazingly painted pirogues shook delicately by breaking waves. Scuba fanatics must fall back on Ifaty towards the north, especially for seeing sharks.

Regardless of being Madagascar's most loved shoreline destination, pulling in numerous sun admirers from over the globe, Nosy Be and its neighboring islands resemble an impeccable incarnation of paradise. Luxuries don’t always imply joy, yet it's this fortunate omission of 21st-century style that makes it so captivating. With one and only high-end resort, Nosy Be is refreshingly free from clamor. This is an island where you can read a trashy novel lying in the sand while never listening to the buzz of motor boats.

This thin 57km-long island of Ile Sainte Marie is 8km far from the shores. It's has been profound among Europeans after it was based by pirates. The pirates have left, clearly, yet the island is still a most cherished spot for expats and vacationers, and shoreline hotels take up an awesome piece of the western coastline. Regardless of this, Ile Sainte Marie showcases enigmatic charm, particularly in the remoter shorelines and the little towns that are dotted over green country lands.
