Greece is packed with beautiful beaches, ancient monuments, cultural melting-pots and many idyllic laid back getaways. But there are sights in Greece which are just indescribable, no words are great enough to describe their magic. They are not only difficult to understand but it seems like the nature has made them willfully unfathomable. Here’s a decent effort from our side to tell you about 3 such incomprehensible sights.

The citadel of Acropolis sits dramatically on hill top, overlooking the Athens. It gleams enigmatically in the sun, redefining its embellishments. At night, its mystically radiance hypnotizes the viewers. Just a glimpse of this citadel can make you skip your heartbeats, no matter what time of day it is.
Nearby open-air restaurants give you the joy of delightful mainland cuisines along with the view of Parthenon lit up gorgeously. Beyond the Parthenon, you will explore the small temple of Athena Nike and the Acropolis Museum which has unbelievably preserved some of the most precious jewels of the fortified city.

Even the most unenthusiastic travellers lure in the charisma of the otherworldly landscape of Santorini (Thira), marked by the caldera and its encompassing cliffs of various hues. The island is loved for multitude of reasons but sunset remains the most significant reason behind its incredible popularity. The best spot to see the sun plunge into the horizon is from the northern tip of Oia village. The evenings are usually swarmed; visitors get inspired by the enchanting views of cliffs resembling a vivid canvass. Ditching the crowds is easier but you will have to bear the pain of scrambling up to the top of the cliffs.

The first sight of Meteora will leave a strong imprint on your soul- rocks kissing the skies and monasteries perched gloriously at the summit.  These monasteries acted as the lender of the last resorts to hermit monks who were escaping the Turkish conquerors. The monks reached the monastery via rope ladders, but the question remains that how would have they built such a grandeur monument on such steep rising cliffs – The jury is still on. Apart from history lovers, this site pulls in droves of climbers from across the world.
