Geographically it is closer to Tunisia than Italy, this volcanic island is believed to produce the best capers of the world. Moreover its typical Passito wine has fetched it much popularity. The island is generally quiet and calm yet it has a hint of glamour attached to it. Many celebrities have got their dammusi-stoned villa of Pantescan style, which dot the island beautifully.

Formerly known as Tenedos, this Aegean watchhouse is the favorite hotspot of Istanbul’s fashionable crowd. It is marked by the premium winery beautiful spread over its landscapes. Serene and away from the hurly burly, this bougainvillea shrouded island is the best place to enjoy a Turkish coffee in the cobbled boulevards and witness the time stopping by.

Vis was the military territory until 1989, which made easier for Vis to hold onto its original vibe. Unlike other islands which are far from the mainland, Vis is inhabited. The Town’s small port gets decent yacht traffic in summers but its composure remains unperturbed, particularly in the Old Town, which is reached by a seafront walkway.

Despite being in close proximity with the party island of the world- Ibiza, the Formentera dances to its own tune. Forbidden by the Spanish for centuries because of pirate attacks, this forlorn island became the hippe-hub in the 1960’s. It is best known for its crystalline waters and when the mob leaves in the evening you can have it all for yourself.

In the medieval era the notorious knights were imprisoned here, but these days it’s the favorite escape of the Maltese from the hustle and bustle of the main island. Tan in a idyllic laid back spot with some delightful seafood.
