This privately managed eco-lodge seems as if the God’s own
villa has been poured down to earth. Chumbe is a small island just offshore
from the Zanzibar Town; it is surrounded by one of the world’s finest coral
gardens. This island incorporates seven bungalows which overhang the sea. Coral Park broadens your mental horizons, and
you not only get stunned by its enigmatic charm but get to live in a place
which is beyond the normal imagination. It is marked by 3km sandbar, ocean
swells and huge coconut crabs. Tranquility is guaranteed as only 14 guests are
allowed to stay on the resort at a time.

Constantly ranked amongst the world’s best Eco-loges, it has
a warm and helping staff and its interiors are dipped in opulence. Some say
that living in this lodge accounts for ecologically balanced hedonism. You will
be mollycoddled by the stunning natural setting of this 500acre island. It has
natural springs that supply waters for its organic farming; alternatively you
can hike the black volcanic bluffs or just frolic in its turquoise corals.
Brooke Shields was shot frolicking here in the legendary movie ‘The Blue
Lagoon.’

Sitting gorgeously on the beach, this eco-lodge is the
pioneer in green building practices. It is primarily built with Astagua palm
leaves and other renewable materials and includes a progression of organic
garden from which the daily food of the guests is derived. The lodge recovers
almost 90% of the water it uses in treatment of waste, which is then supplied
to the farms for irrigation. The jaw-dropping views of the waters from the bedrooms,
leaves a strong imprint on the guest’s souls.
