With 15,000 kilometers of enigmatic coastline, New Zealand is heaven for shoreline devotees. Its shores dish up everything from laid back days and blasting dusk, to adrenaline pumping; for example, swimming, kayaking and surfing. Finding an unfathomable shoreline has been made simple with our pick of the 5 best of them.

Truth be told, Ninety Mile Beach is only 88km; on the other hand, it's no way that you'll feel misled here. Starting near to Kaitaia and finishingclose to Cape Reinga – it's an epic field of sand and unending ocean, supported by massive rises that are sure to place sand in your pants. Barely shy of the Cape is Te Paki Stream parking. A walkway from here divulges the shoreline and northwards to Scott Point.

Choices of incredible shorelines abound in the Coromandel Peninsula, yet New Chums gloats about its peacefulness. It's truly only thirty minutes walk across Whangapoua parking lot; however the course is truly tough and obliges a touch of perseverance so a great many people do not have the courage to attempt it. The result of all the agony which you bear is a splendid shoreline, a sea so shining, pohutukawa trees so twisted, that its heavenliness can blow your mind. Additionally, you may have it just for yourself.

Picking the best sbeach in Abel Tasman National Park isn’t a cakewalk, for its coastline gloats one enchantress after another. Harbor stakes a strong claim not only for its sheer greatness – a smoothly inclining twist of splendid sand, flanked with thick woods – furthermore for its passage to a stunning stretch of the waterfront Great Walk. It's good to stay overnight in the protected range (in a lodge), which allows time to take the short excursion to ethereal Cleopatra's Pool.

Scott’s Beach

The seaside crescendo of Kahurangi National Park's multi-day Heaphy Track, this secluded shoreline can also be accessed from the northernmost edge of the West Coast Road. Additionally, what a voyage it is: the truly wonderful drive through Karamea to Kohaihai, the end-of-the-line outdoors in a fabulous estuary setting. Starting there you can meander in the national park, more than a low slant to Scott's Beach. Mostly secured in a salt mist, the mind-boggling scene highlights tough rocks, nikau palm forest, and viable waves fondling at the driftwood-strewn beach.

Sumner

Nestled around the corner, the mind blowing and swirling waterfront suburb of Sumner is a flawless formula for an epic day at the shoreline. It's a surely profound spot for nearby individuals, who turn up as tremendous crowd carrying with them a perky, cerebral vibe. The sandy shoreline bustles with swimmers and surfers (and lifeguards), while the town's bistros and diners produce desserts, coffee and burger.
