Cambodian Islands- Straight from the Lap of Nature

The beautiful islands floating on the Gulf of Thailand are some of the Cambodia’s last unmarred spots. None of these have paved roads, ATM machines or even 24-hour electricity, but these lack of amenities is in fact a blessing in disguise, if you spent some time you will feel as if you are being mollycoddled by mother nature, and will get a tranquil experience which no other place in world can offer. But development can’t be skipped for too long, and you need to be moving fast to get here before these islands get acquainted with worldly hurly-burly.

Just two and half hours voyage from the mainland, Koh Rong is absolutely awesome, with long stretches of coastal sands and calm surf. The island has 43 km of beaches and without much surprise various water sports activities abound. Being the most developed among the islands off the Silhanoukville’s shore, it is a home to more than dozen of guesthouses and many small eateries which serve lager and fresh sea-food.

But you need not worry; you can find serenity in many corners of the island which are completely untainted. On the other hand, if you are looking for whiskey bucket, then you can resort to the Monkey Island bar which stays open late and organizes fire dance performances every night.

Towards the south of Koh Rong sits the island's smaller, calmer sister, Koh Rong Samloem. More isolated than its neighbor, Koh Rong Samloem is spotted with lovely, unfilled shorelines. The Dive Shop runs a watercraft between the two islands and has of late opened Robinson's Bungalows - reasonable wooden cabins settled in the wilderness by a windswept shoreline where the dusk paints every evening in striking pinks and purples.

Closer to Sihanoukville is Koh ta Kiev, a little island only an hour seaward with rustic lodgings and camping choices Ten 103 Treehouse Bay has  tree houses in the wilderness, which make their  home-made bread, crisp pasta, and other surprising cuisines.

Further north is a small island, Koh Totang that is occupied by few villagers and Nomads Land, a gathering of basic, eco-friendly cottages where you can enjoy sunsets, suppers and hammocks arranged to best enjoy the view of the tremendous blue-green waters.

I want to hear from you, so let’s get connected friends!s
