Packed to the brim with UNESCO accredited World Heritage sites, sandy
Mediterranean shores, and blemished with almond and olive trees, and streaked
with dry stone dividers. The Southeastern Sicily dances to its own tune.

Despite being home to several glittering and vibrant cities such as
Ragusa, Modica and Noto each
of which have different orientations, celebrations and cuisines and lagers- the
region is seldom visited apart from August.
Seems like this trend will change quickly, a newly built airport in Cosmiso has various
international flights daily from the rest of Europe and other parts of the
world. There are 2 weekly flights from the English capital; flights from
Brussels and Rome have also begun recently.

Comiso airport is placed on the order of the pristine town with same
name, which is barely half an hour away by road from Marina di Ragusa. There
are buses, taxis and cars available outside the astutely architecture new
junction building. So now it’s perfect time to catch a flight to Sicily and
satisfy your wanderlust.

A labyrinthine of shimmering Limestone Street of Baroque-style palazzo
and ornate churches are dabbed onto the hillside. Ibla has 14 UNESCO World
Heritage buildings, all of which are a few strides away from each other. In the
middle of this enigmatic area is a palm-decorated Piazza Duomo, dominated by
cathedral of St. George. Its bent, sectioned façade is one of the biggest
attractions of this small city. For majestic panoramas, ascend to the top of Church
of Santa Lucia and gawp at the tiles terraces, enormous domes and curvy facades
of Inla, shining under the sun.

The southern coast is blemished with sandy Mediterranean shores
plunging gently into clear blue seas, which is safe for swimming from June to
October. The surfs are usually calm, but they can get wild occasionally, most
of the favorite beaches have sun loungers, umbrellas, cafes and delightful
gelatos. Unlike other parts of Italy, there are many serendipitous areas
around, to which the access is free and most importantly you don’t need to
break a sweat to find the vacant corner.
