Generally Uganda is not associated with unwinding or relaxing holidays. Most people see it as destination for adventures only, whether pursuing mountain gorillas, encountering fierce rapids on the Nile or hiking through the muddy boondocks for days in Rwenzoris. But until swung on a hammock on an immaculate white beach in Lake Victoria or reveled in Lake Bunyoni with ecstatic fairy-tale islands, you won’t comprehend how serendipitous Uganda is. Once you have been soaked up by adrenaline rushes, there are few spots where you can pamper your body and revive up your spirits.

One of the Uganda’s favorite spots, the Sseses are synonymous with fine, white beaches, ethereal sunsets, campfires on the beach and exotic setting in the midst of Lake Victoria.  This archipelago has 84 islands to its bounties and most people venture out to Bugala Island, which has perfect beaches and a rich choices of accommodation  from old school rustic huts reminding those of Goa to more luxurious choices, all of which face the beach. Swimming is not advisable here, but its beaches are sure to take you in a euphoric state of mind and make you delve in sheer bliss.

The awe-inspiring panoramic views from the top of Lake Bunyonim, reveals beautifully blemishing islands and captivating backdrops of mist covered hills. It can be easily mistaken for Nepal. Most of these 29 islands have varied choices of lodgings ranging from cheap dwellings to bungalows shrouded up in wilderness. It is one of the few safe places in Uganda for swimming. It is best cherished in a dugout canoe by paddling across the islands. Sunset will definitely stun you.

I want to hear from you, so let’s get connected friends!
