Tourism brochures highlight only the opulent resorts but French Polynesia has a wide array of lodging options. You can lower down the costs by staying in conventional guesthouses and home stays that are speckled all over the island. There’s nothing glitzy or showy, just rustic rooms mixed with tropical splendor. The low end accommodations provide shower facilities and sometimes the breakfast as well, whereas moving higher on the scale you will get lot more facilities and will be greatly comfortable.
These options provide you a chance to delve into the culture, you obviously benefit from the warm and accommodating locals and avail much more personal attention and tailored services compared to the hotels.

Pensions are usually nestled amidst natural beauty, set in the green shrouded hills or facing the ocean. In The Tuamotu Archipelago, there is a pension, whose backside opens up to a turquoise lagoon. What can be a better setting for a stay?

If you like it rawer, then don’t worry, French Polynesia has got you covered.  French Polynesia offers you many wonderful camping options. Don’t have too many pre conceived notions because that may hurt you later. Truth be said, they are not exactly full-fledged camp sites but rather guesthouses with yards where you can pitch up your tent and feel like sleeping in the lap of the nature.
